Audit & Validation

Services:

* Troubleshooting unit operations such as heat transfer, fluid flow, chemical reactions, agitation, and filtration among others.

* Subject matter specialist to a team working on asset replacement, plant expansion, or product formation.

* Review of your proposed chemical process for second source validation

* Audit your chemical operations to recommend improvements.

* Imparting practical & pragmatic experience to engineers who are responsible for chemical operations.

* Review and assess chemical mergers & acquisitions .

* Classroom and on the floor training for chemical operators in basic chemistry and engineering principles. Sometimes Chemical Operator Training (COT) is a required piece of Process Safety Management (PSM).

* Trade secret implementation in the manufacturing environment.

PROCESS AUDIT & VALIDATION:

Sometimes it can be extremely valuable to have an “outside the company” experienced eye examine what is happening or is going to happen.

VALIDATION: Bringing in a seasoned, knowledgeable resource to review a process design (block flow diagram and/or P&ID), partake in a Process Safety Management session, or assess proposed process equipment to purchase can offer assurance that the project is going in a direction likely to end with success.

AUDIT: Many times I have heard this; “We have been doing this same process for 10 (pick your favorite number) years and generally it gets the job done. We are wondering if it could be better?” Bringing in an skilled, practiced chemical process engineer to evaluate the current equipment, review the process variables, critique operating instructions, and talk to chemical technicians, can quickly lead to a determination if investment in that process could pay off. ISO and PSM sometimes necessitate the evaluation and documentation of chemical processes.

Experience:

* I have been active in ISO 9001, 14000,& 18000.

* Lean manufacturing techniques and how to practically implement them.

* 38 years of chemical plant experience in pilot facilities and manufacturing plants.

* I owned and managed a trade secret and its protection.
